First and foremost, as greenwashing becomes popular among brands to sell more, we don’t pretend that our phone cases are the best eco product you can ever buy; they are, yes, plant-based, but if you buy ours to ditch the plastic one you already have, you are missing the point. We want them to leave as minimal impact on the environment as possible compared to plastic ones. In cases where you genuinely need a new phone case, let’s say when you upgrade or the case you have got broken.
Our phone cases are made from plant-based material (Plant Polymer and Bamboo binder). They take 160 to biodegrade (Not confirmed from our partners that it is compostable yet, but we are working to confirm that with them). Both options are effective when exposed to the right environment. The ink of the designs is water-based.
The packing consists of a 100% cotton pouch and 100% recycled cardboard.
We are collaborating with POD company, so there is no mass production for the cases; they are only manufactured when the order has been made.
Earthava phone cases are only sold on Earthava.com and no other places.
For Your Consideration
We don’t recommend throwing the case into the trash. As we are not sure if it is going to be exposed to air or sunlight when things get piled up, in case you upgraded your phone, or you want a new design, you can either gift your old one or put it in a place where it can be exposed to air and sun lets say a window. It will degrade by itself within 5 months. And if you have a composting facility in your area, you can send it there too.
We recommend reusing the pouch however you prefer.
