First and foremost, as greenwashing becomes popular among brands to sell more, we don’t pretend that our phone cases are the best eco product you can ever buy; they are, yes, unlike plastic, can break down in the right environment, while a plastic case even when exposed to extreme condition it stays. So if you want to buy our cases and ditch the plastic one you already have in the trash to be eco-friendly, you are missing the point.
We want to our cases to leave a smaller impact on the environment compared to plastic ones. So only buy when you genuinely need a new phone case, let’s say when you upgrade or the case you have got broken.
Our phone cases are made from plant-based materials (Plant Polymer and Bamboo binder). They take 160 days to biodegrade in the right environment, which is usually achieved in industrial composting facilities. The ink of the designs is water-based.
The packaging consists of a 100% cotton pouch and 100% recycled cardboard.
We are collaborating with POD company, so there is no mass production for the cases; they are only manufactured when the order has been made.
Earthava phone cases are only sold on Earthava.com and nowhere else.
For Confirmation
We don’t recommend throwing the case into the trash, or even into your home compost. In case you upgrade your phone or want a new design, you can either gift your old one, keep it, or send it to a sustainable/green industrial facility in your area.
We recommend reusing the pouch however you prefer.
